Rafał Gawin
Holds the PhD of Technical Sciences in the field of electrical power engineering and energy economics. Has been working at the Energy Regulatory Office URE since 2004, among others as the deputy director of the Department of Market Development and Consumer Issues. He took the position of URE President in 2019.
From March 2021 to September 2023 he held the position of Vice Chairman of the ACER Board of Regulators (BoR), which is a consultative and advisory body to the Agency's Director. In December 2023 he was re-elected to this position.
Experienced in supervising energy companies, particularly in the field of financial reporting and audit as well as investment and development.
Author of numerous publications and studies on the functioning of electricity markets, including the grid access principles, balancing and regional markets.
